From the academic year 2017-19 NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education), Accreditation and Ranking process “TeachR” is mandatory for Teacher Education Institutions all over India. Based on this Teacher Educations Institutions are categorized under four grades – Grade A, B, C and D. For this purpose a training programme was conducted by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) for Teacher Educational Institutions on July 7 at South Kalamassery, Kochi. Dr. Santhosh Mathew, NCTE Chairman, had given a detailed presentation about TeachR frame work and the grading system. NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) conducted training sessions in all over India in Seven centers. Around 800 participants including Teacher Educators, Management representatives, Principal, HoD’s and Students attended this session at south Kalamassery.

There are four categories for the grading system. They are – Physical Assets – 10%, Academic Assets – 20 %, Teaching & Learning Quality – 30 % and Learning Outcomes – 40%. The motto of NCTE is “ Our Teachers, Our Heroes” and the purpose of this grading system is to improve the quality of Teacher Education in all over the India. Mr. Sanjay Avasthi, Member Secretary also presented his views regarding TeachR frame work. From this college Dr. Anitha N (Principal), Mr. Promod S(Asst. Professor in Physical Education ), Mr. Jayapraveen J(Asst. Professor in English) and Mr.Ajas S( IT Consultant ) were attended the session. We have started at the work related with TeachR frame work for the accreditation and ranking process based on the rules and regulations of NCTE. I am very happy to inform you that Fathima Memorial Training College, pallimukku is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) with CGPA of 3.19 on four point scale at ‘A’ Grade valid up to July 4th 2017. This is the only one self financing institution under university of Kerala, accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. It is the team effort of a group of sincere, dedicated, hardworking, efficient , well qualified and well trained staff members of this college. Our management under the dynamic leadership of Dr. A Younus Kunju Ex MLA and the Director of this college Mr Noushad Younus, giving us all support and guidance for this venture. Also university of Kerala has selected this college as Learner Support Centre, under Institute of Distance Education offering 1 UG course and 4 P G Courses. I Extend my deep gratitude to the Manager Dr . A Younus Kunju Ex MLA and the Director Mr Noushad Younus for their valuable support. Also I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all my staff members, especially to the NAAC coordinator Mrs Bindhu T S, M.Ed Faculty and Dr Ranjini Devi S, Asst: Professor – Physical Science, NSS Training College , Pandalam for their sincere support in this venture. My Special thanks to the students of this academic year 2011-12 for their support and effective interaction with the NAAC Peer team members. This college is providing a team of dedicated faculty members, sufficient learning resources, adequate infrastructure and a good learning environment for the teacher trainees. In the process of national reconstruction, our members of the teaching profession will play their role effectively and our institution will succeed in its efforts to produce exemplary teachers.

As per the new regulations of NCTE, B.Ed (2 Units of 50 student each) and M.Ed (1 Unit of 50 Students is sanctioned). NAAC Re-accreditation works are progressing.
